Lynda Elson is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with the national governing body Speech Pathology Australia. She is a highly experienced and caring speech and language pathologist who is passionate about helping young children reach their communication potential. She is committed to working with children, families, teachers and other health professionals to give each and every child the Brightest Start possible.
She believes children with communication challenges will have a Bright Start in life when families and health care professionals work together in partnership.
She is dedicated to working with toddlers and pre-schoolers and their families to develop speech, language, early literacy and social communication skills. Communication and academic skills are intrinsically linked and Lynda works closely with child care and preschool staff to support all children reach their potential.
Lynda has more than 20 years experience working with children. She has worked in a variety of private and government settings in Australia and overseas including Canberra, Perth, Remote Aboriginal Communities, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, Dubai and Singapore. In the ACT, Lynda has worked within the former Therapy ACT government service. Lynda holds a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology, Bachelor of Education and actively incorporates the latest eveidence based research into therapy.
Lynda also enjoys long distance running, playing the piano, family adventures with her husband and 2 young girls, as well as cuddles with their family dog.
Mabel Lau is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with the national governing body Speech Pathology Australia. She obtained her Masters Degree from the University of Canberra. She also has a background in psychology where she researched how language can be used to support memory and learning.
Mabel has a strong interest in language and her experience working with students as a university tutor has shaped her passion for helping children develop their communication skills.
As a mother of a pre-schooler, Mabel understands the benefits of making therapy fun and engaging. She is committed to supporting children and their families achieve their goals and reach their potential.
In her free time, Mabel enjoys spending time with her family, exploring food recipes, and reading.
