Speech Pathology for Children: About Lynda Elson

Lynda Elson is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist recognized by Speech Pathology Australia. She is a dedicated and experienced speech and language pathologist who is passionate about fostering communication development in young children. Lynda is committed to collaborating with children, families, teachers, and other health professionals to provide each child with the Brightest Start possible through early childhood speech therapy. 

She believes that children facing communication challenges will experience a Bright Start in life when families and healthcare professionals work collaboratively in partnership. 

With over 20 years of experience in speech pathology, Lynda has worked in a range of private and government settings both in Australia and internationally, including Canberra, Perth, remote Aboriginal communities, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, Dubai, and Singapore. In the ACT, she has contributed her skills within the former Therapy ACT government service. Lynda holds a Master's in Speech and Language Pathology and a Bachelor's in Education, actively integrating the latest evidence-based research into her therapy sessions. 

In her personal life, Lynda enjoys long-distance running, playing the piano, embarking on family adventures with her husband and two teenage daughters, as well as sharing cuddles with their family dog.
